Alternate Timeline: Very similar to Alternate Universe and Reality, but frequently used in time travel stories, where a situation is altered in a timeline, such as a character being killed off, or an event not happening. An example in mainstream media of an alternate timeline is The Man in the High Castle which features an alternate timeline where the WWII allies did not win the war and Germany/Japan rule the US.
